Larry was born on March 24,1952,in Kalamazoo,Mich.,the son of William and Vera (Gooley) Allen.

He was a resident of Mancelona for the past three years and enjoyed traveling and working on vehicles.

On Dec. 19,2003,in Bellaire,he married Gloria Windish who survives. Also surviving are six stepsons,John (Kim) Meadows of Mancelona,Jamison Meadows of Mancelona,Jason (Bobbie) Meadows of Mancelona,Jim (Linzy) Meadows of Ypsilanti,Josef Meadows of Mancelona,Jourdan (Tasha) Meadows of Mancelona,two daughters,Leslie (Josh) Fields of St. Augustine,Fla.,Andrea Allen of Charlotte,Mich.,a sister Elaine (Paul) Rice of Mattawan,Mich.,two brothers,Douglas Allen of Wellington,Fla.,Bob (Bonnie) Allen of Lancaster,Calif.,and 19 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother,William Allen. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation,75 Maiden Lane,Suite 603,New York,N.Y., 10038.
