Vanderbilt 62 Đ Alba 33 Vanderbilt forged a 33-16 half time lead and stretched the margin to 50-20 at the end of three quarters when the Yellowjackets defeated the Wildcats 62-33 on Thursday,Dec. 28. The opening round victory moved Vanderbilt into a championship game match up against the Traverse City Bulldogs. LeBlanc (16 points) and Zack Milligan (eight points) paced the Alba offense. "We werenŐt playing as a team. ThatŐs what happens when you donŐt play as a team,Ó said Roberts. "Wolverine did an excellent jog of putting on the tournament. All the players,coaches and officials were great,Ó Roberts commented on the two day event. Alba (2-4 overall,0-1 NLC) will be on the road for its next two games against Boyne Falls on Friday,Jan. 5,and Mackinaw City on Tuesday,Jan. 9.
