Obituaries PUBLISHED: Virginia was born on July 19, 1927, in Pontiac, Mich., the daughter of Charles and Della (Goforth) Giles. She was a resident of Mancelona for over 20 years and was a member of the Mancelona Moose Lodge. Prior to moving to Mancelona, she lived in Madisonville, Tenn,. where she graduated from high school and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was employed by the General Motors Corporation for many years and enjoyed flying airplanes. She is survived by a son Stephen Chevalier of Mancelona, two grandchildren, Stevie and Brooke Chevalier, two sisters, Sue Plemmons of Madisonvelle, Tenn., Nina Alexander of Norcross, GA., a brother Max Sharpe of Huntsville, Ala., and many friends. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Claude Rowley officiated.
