Donna was born Aug. 2, 1927 in Kearney Township, the daughter of Robert and Hazel (Farrell) Watrous.

She was a lifelong resident of Bellaire where she attended the Wesleyan Church and was employed as a cook for the Bellaire Public Schools for over 34 years.

She is survived by three children, Dan Thomas of Bellaire, Linda (Fred) Barnes of Tennessee, Jerry (Margaret) Thomas of Kalkaska; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Annie Thomas; six brothers, Earl Watrous, Jake Watrous, Harry Watrous, Robert Watrous, Pete Watrous, Walt Watrous; five sisters, Mildred Rinckey, Irene Dewey, Ruth Perkins-Goodrich, Flora Watrous, Pearl Dewey and her parents.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14, 2008 at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Rev. Steve Eccles officiated. Interment will take place in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
