Obituaries PUBLISHED: She attended the Paris Institute of Art and was a translator during World War II where she met her husband, Russell.ÊThey were married in 1946 in Bellaire and spent the next 51 happy years together.ÊHe preceded her in death in 1997. They lived primarily in Alden where they reared their family and built a successfulÊbusiness, the Alden Lumber Company.ÊUpon retirement in 1987, they settled in Horseshoe Bay. She was a very talented artist and artisan.ÊShe also enjoyed playing golf and entertaining the many friends she and Russ made while in Horseshoe Bay.ÊShe will be truly missed by all, especially her family. She is survived by three children, Catherine Wayman of LongÊBeach, Calif., Andree Dempsey of Cave Creek, Arizona, and Gregory Wheeler of Spicewood, Texas; three grandchildren, Christine Montana, Nicholas Thorne and Lauren Dempsey; two great grandchildren, Trevor and Garrett Montana; and Ed Skinner, a devoted and loving companion for many years. |
