Obituaries PUBLISHED: Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007 at 4 p.m.. at the Lighthouse Missionary Church in East Jordan. The Rev. James Jordan officiated. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Elmira, Mich. He was born on Nov. 9, 1962, in Flint, the son of Raymond E. and Sally (Stewart) Meads. He graduated from Flushing High School in 1980. In 1984, Roderick received his Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Engineering from ITT Technical Institute, Fort Wayne, Ind. On Feb. 18, 1984, he married Lynn Olney. In 1986, they made their home in East Jordan. Roderick owned and operated Quest Electric in East Jordan. He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing. He was also an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons. He was the pit crew member for his sonŐs snowmobile racing. He loved playing basketball with his daughter. Roderick is survived by his wife, Lynn Meads of East Jordan; two children, Michael T. Meads and Andrea L. Meads, both at home; his parents, Raymond and Sally Meads of East Jordan; two brothers, Brian (Susan) Meads of East Jordan and Daniel (Karen) Meads of Boyne City; one sister-in-law, Debbie Meads of East Jordan; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, David Meads in 1988. The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc. in East Jordan.
