Obituaries PUBLISHED: We, his parents Bill and Liz, his cherished sister Kelly, and his brother-in-law Jeff, along with his extended family and close friends (including Glenn Stainforth, who was like a brother to Scott) grieve his loss. Pursuant to his wishes, Scott's body has been cremated. Scott was born in Detroit on Jan. 4, 1968. At age 8, he moved with his family to Bellaire, where he graduated from high school in 1988. Scott then moved to Traverse City, where he attended NMC for a year. In 1999, Scott completed building his home with the help of his family. Scott worked in the health care profession where he enjoyed a close relationship with many of his elderly patients. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dog Sophie and his cats, Linus and Peaches, playing tennis, snowboarding, gardening, writing poetry and playing Scrabble. We would like to thank Scott's friends and his Brimley Hills Estate neighbors for the care given to his home and animals in his absence. We're also grateful to Jenny LaRowe at Priority Health for her special efforts on Scott's behalf during this difficult time. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring. Those wishing to honor Scott's memory may contribute to the Scott Hagan Memorial Fund at Citizens Bank, with proceeds benefiting academically challenged youth at Bellaire High School. Please share your memories of Scott with us at www.legacy.com/record-eagle. |
