Ed was an avid reader and enjoyed his grandchildren, playing guitar and spending summers at Torch Lake, Mich.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Morey of Fort Wayne; sons, Merrill (Jena) Morey, M.D., of New Castle, and Kirk (Cherie) Morey, M.D., of St. Louis, Miss.; brother, Robert Morey; sister, Jackie Blair; and nine grandchildren.

Calling was from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, casual attire requested. Private services will be held in Michigan at a later date. Memorials may be made to Purdue Foundation.
