Doing the Klondike

Scout troops from throughout northern Michigan converged on Craven Park last weekend to experience outdoor living. Activities include a snowsnake throwing event, orienteering, fire starting and shooting, which was offered by members of the Bellaire Conservation Club. A hearty soup was offered at noon along with hot dogs and hot chocolate. Supplies for the participants were carried on sleds adorned with troop flags and other Scout emblems.
