Bob was born in Detroit on Aug. 21, 1926, the son of William and Alice (Evans) Perich. On April 21, 1956, in Angola, Ind., he married the former Doris R. Dane, who survives.

A tool and die maker, Bob worked for various machine shops in Detroit including Ford Motor Co. He also spent some time working in Fair Oaks, Calif., where he and his wife managed several apartment buildings. Upon moving to Bellaire he worked for Wickes Manufacturing (now Dura Automotive) in Mancelona until retiring in 1988.

Bob and Doris moved to Florida in 1996, but Bob never forgot his love of the house on the river and the good life in Bellaire.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Barry L. (Laura) Perich of Denver, Colo., Vicky L. (Brian) Newsom of Milford and Don R. Perich of Palmetto, Fla.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
