Obituaries PUBLISHED: Phillip was born on March 12, 1949 in Custer Twp., Mich., the son of Wesley and Edith (Drain) Thrasher. He was a resident of Antrim County all of his life where he enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, hunting as well as many other outdoor activities. He was employed by Meeder Lumber in Mancelona for 14 years. On July 15, 1994, in Mancelona, he married Sally Skaggs, who survives. Also surviving are 14 stepchildren, Linda Allmacher of Gaylord, Clayton McDonald of Harbor Springs, Rose McDonald of Lapeer, Melvin (Debbie) McDonald of Mancelona, Hope Thrasher, Tony Thrasher, Donnie Thrasher, Susan (Jim) Barger of Mancelona, Dennis Jr. (Debra) Hittle of Alden, Florence (Tyrone) Phillips of Rapid City, Melissa Klintworth of Bellaire, Eli (Nichole) Hittle of Bellaire, Duane (Marie) Hittle of Alba, Harold (Donna) Hittle of Mancelona, his step-father Harry White of East Jordan, 38 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two brothers, Richard (Sandy) Thrasher of Cedar Springs, David Thrasher of Cedar Springs, and a sister Lula (Vergil) Tracy of Kalkaska. He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Thrasher Jr., a brother, Paul Thrasher and four sisters, Laura, Beverly, Virginia and Carol. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Yousef "Yogi" Jabara will officiate.
