Harold was born in Davenport, Iowa, June 30, 1924. He was joined in marriage to Catherine Walker, Oct. 26, 1946. Mr. Dukert had lived in the Romeo area for over forty years before retiring to Mancelona. He was a member of the Mancelona Baptist Church. Answering the call of his country, Harold served in the US Army during WWII. He had been employed by General Motors Pontiac Motor Division till his retirement in 1978.

Surviving are wife, Catherine, sons: Bob and wife Fay Dukert of Washington, Mich., James and wife Linda Duckert of Metamora, Mich., and Clare "Rocky" and wife Patty Dukert of Mancelona, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, William & Grace (Brown) Duckert.
