Betty was born in Bellevue, Mich., where she spent her childhood. In 1948, she married Robert S. Coors at Central Methodist Church in Lansing. She and Bob raised three children in Milwaukee, Wis. Upon retirement they moved to La Mesa, Calif., for 21 years. Two years ago they moved to Traverse City to be near their son and their cottage on Torch Lake.

Betty was a wonderful mom, beloved wife, and grandmother, and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert S. Coors; sister, Marjorie Ward; children: Susan (Andy) Weinzapfel, Rick (Diane) Coors, Don (Dawn) Coors; five grandchildren: Amy, Bob, Stephen, Andrea, and David.

Memorial and reception were held Saturday, March 31, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be directed to Traverse Bay United Methodist Church or Munson Hospice House.
