Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. in East Jordan. The Rev. Kurt Jensen officiated with interment following at Dunsmore Cemetery in Echo Twp., Antrim County.

She was born on Aug. 15, 1917, in Echo Twp., the daughter of Cyrus and Carrie (McPherson) Tobey. She grew up in the East Jordan area and graduated from East Jordan High School. On Feb. 18, 1939, in Detroit, she married Gordon Taylor. They made their home in Detroit until Gordon retired in 1973 and then moved back to the East Jordan area. He preceded her in death in 1979.

Eva was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. She enjoyed gardening, mowing the lawn and crossword puzzles.

She is survived by four children, Ron (Cheryl) Taylor of Canton, Kathleen (Jerry) Csatari of Dearborn, Vicki (Gary) Gilbert of Dearborn Heights and Carol (Tony) Everett of Plymouth; eleven grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the Evangelical Lutheran Church E.L.C.A. The family was served by the Penzien Funeral Homes, Inc., in East Jordan.
