Joseph was born June 9, 1916, in Toledo, Ohio, and married Marie Kunkosky on June 27, 1936, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in River Rouge, Mich. Joe was manager of manufacturing for Eonic Inc., specializing in precision cams. Joe and Marie lived in Rochester Hills until his retirement and then made their winter home in Homasassa Springs, Fla. in Louis, MO, great granddaughter Angela Roux, great step grandchildren, Timothy Sykes and Samantha Sykes. He is also survived by his loving brother Stanly (Mary), and many nieces and nephews. Joseph was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona and the Knights of Columbus, Kalkaska Council.

Visitation was held Tuesday, April 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mancelona, Father Dale Magoon as Celebrant. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church, 209 Jefferson Ave., Mancelona, Mich., 49659.
