Obituaries PUBLISHED: Edith was born Oct. 4, 1913 in Belding, Michigan, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Somerville) Lewis. Edith resided in Central Lake since 1979 and was a long time member of the Grace Community Church.Ê She enjoyed her great grandchildren as well as cleaning, cooking, crocheting and knitting. She is survived by a son Robert (Nancy) Loper of Elk Rapids; two half sisters, Marcella (Howard) Buffman of Central Lake and Hester Somerville of Pontiac; four grandchildren, Charlene (Bob) Widrig of Traverse City, Maureen (Doug) Gayford of Traverse City, Nancy (Chuck) Drinkwine of Kewadin and Robert Loper of North Carolina; five great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Bell; three brothers, Harry, Bert and Walter Lewis; a half brother Floyd LaValley and two sisters, Myrtle Kaiser and Mable Russell. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Pastor Julie Greyerbiehl will officiate. Interment will follow in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home.
