Patricia was born Aug. 21, 1958, in Detroit, the daughter of Benjamin and Clara (Bean) Johnson. She resided in Mancelona since 1989 moving from Detroit. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Gaylord.

On Aug. 28, 1976, in Detroit, she married Jack M. Hammons, who survives. Also surviving are three children, Gary D. Johnson of Kingsley, Michael D. Hammons of Kincheloe, Jacklyn (Barney) Barber of Alden, two brothers, Roger (Loretta) Johnson of Detroit, Gary (Christine) Melton of Florida, ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Tina Marie Hammons.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 16, 2007, at 3 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes, Pastor Robert Perrotti officiating.

Interment was in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona.
