Jessie was born on April 20, 1916, in Missouri to Thaddeus and Laura Glossip.

Jessie married Marsden Maguire on June 27, 1936, in Flint, Mich.Ê She was a member of the Christian Science Church of Flint and Traverse City.

She loved her grandchildren, children in general, playing cards, cooking and cats.Ê She also loved to travel, Torch Lake, and enjoyed watching the clouds.

She is survived by her son, David (Elisabeth) Maguire of Flushing, and her daughter, Karen (George) Leo of Traverse City; grandchildren Kimberly, David Jr., Barbra (Christopher), Katharine, Jennifer and five greatgrandboys.

Jessie is preceded in death by her husband, Marsden, and her grand daughter Juliette.

A private family service will take place on May 13 in Alden.
