Wylon was born on March 5, 1924, in Johannesburg, the daughter of Lloyd and Mary Bale) Wheeler.

She resided in Mancelona for many years as well as Flint. She was a caregiver and she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing and making necklaces.

She is survived by four children, Earl (Juanita) Coon of Kalkaska, Ann (Norm) Slinglend of Flint, Gloria (Dan) Vandergriff of Mancelona, Nancy Matlock of Owosso, two stepsons, Tom and Jerry Calgaro both of California, two sisters, Yvonne Bill) Lovelace of California, Gleanna Linn of Nevada, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband James R. Coon, her second husband Eugene P. Calgaro, a daughter Betty Ann Coon, a son Bill Coon, a granddaughter Crystal Lee Vandergriff, two sisters, Lavona Williams, Marguerite Wheeler, two brothers, Perry Wheeler, Ford Wheeler and her parents.

Funeral services were held on Friday, May 25, 2007, at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes. Rev. Gerald Cook officiated.

Interment was in Star Township Cemetery in Alba.
