Some students and horses of Hillcrest Stables trainer Jayne Cook competed at this Class A show. "It takes a lot more effort to compete at a Class A show.

The riders are more competitive, and the horses are trained to a higher level. I'm very proud of the effort made by my students and their horses," stated Cook.

Taylor White, a seventh grade student at Bellaire Junior High, walked away with first place ribbons in English Pleasure Junior Exhibitor 13 and under on Sunforest Loaded, as well as first place in Saddle Seat Equitation 13 and under. Taking the blue in both classes qualified White for the championship classes the following day. In the English Pleasure Junior Exhibitor Championship she received the championship and learned how to do a victory pass. In the Saddle Sat Equitation Championship she earned the reserve championship.

White also competed in the hunter division on Faye Corey's horse, Ricki Martin. She took an eighth place in Hunter Seat Equitation 13 and under, and seventh place in Hunter Pleasure Junior Exhibitor 13 and Under.

Dreammaster Ltd Edition, a 3-year-old stallion owned by Mancelona residents Dan and Wendy Roose, also did well at this show.

Under the direction of trainer Jayne Cook, he place first in the Stallions 4 and Under class and was also named Grand Champion Stallion. In the Pleasure Driv- ing division Cook drove him to a fourth place finish in Pleasure Driving Junior Horse, and third in the Pleasure Driving Championship.
