Local News PUBLISHED: With a backdrop of festive tropical music during Thursday night's summertime Alden Stroll, on July 5, Sams and Stoick will sign their best-selling children's books, Stranger in the Woods and Lost in the Woods at Carter Candles owned by Zachary's grandparents, Fletcher and Penny Carter. Fifty percent of the proceeds will be donated to a fund for Zachary established with the Children's Organ Transplant Association COTA). "We're glad to be a part of this. Jeanie and I are always glad when we can use our books and movies to help kids,"Sams said. The couple's books and movies have won dozens of prestigious awards. Lost in the Woods: The Movie, most recently won the Wildscreen Panda Award for the best children's wildlife film world-wide. The movie will be playing during the book signing complete with live video and original toe-tapping music. "We have just been overwhelmed by the heartwarming generosity of individuals in the community,"said Fletcher Carter. "People have been like angels on Earth,"added his wife, Penny Carter.
