McClary brothers together again

Bock and McClary no longer Kurtland bound

BELLAIRE - To call the basketball careers of Brandon McClary, Michael McClary, and Cody Bock anything less than incredible would be a horrible understatement. All members of the 2005 state runner-up Bellaire boys basketball team, these three all-staters knew that once high school was over a college basketball career was almost guranteed.

After an impressive and high-scoring career at Bellaire, which included the Eagles 2005 run for a state championship, Brandon McClary signed with Muskegon Community college where he continued to be successful on the hardwood recieving all conference honors. After two successful seasons with the Jayhawks, Brandon has recently signed on to play at NCAA Division Three Olivet College near Lansing.

After making a similar run to the Breslin of their own in 2007, Michael McClary and Cody Bock would finish high school with similarly outstanding careers and would sign with coach Ty McGregor at Kurtland College. Recent developments may have changed the basketball futures for these two court stars, however, as new oppurtunities are being presented.

"I've been asked to play basketball for Olivet College with my brother Brandon, and it's an oppurtunity that I don't think I should pass up," said Michael McClary. Cody Bock has also chosen not to attend Kurtland.

Bock commented; "There have been problems with communication between my family and I with Coach McGregor, and I will no longer be attending school there for personal reasons."

The amazing run made by the 2005 Bellaire boys basketball team was highlighted by the leadership and outstanding play of the McClary brothers, and next season sports fan will once again be able to see the infamous "fro-bro's" don the same uniform once again.

"I'm very excited to play with my brother again," stated Michael. "He pushes me harder than any coach or other teammate and I know going to play with him will improve my game."
