Stephen D. Harrison, 47, of Central Lake, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2008 at his home.

Stephen was born Nov. 20, 1960 in Frankfurt, Germany the son of Ronald and Hannelore Harrison.

Stephen was a Central Lake resident for the past 10 years and previously resided in Traverse City.

He worked for Dura Automotive in Mancelona and was a chef at Shanty Creek as well as many other area restaurants.

He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1980 to 1985 and enjoyed fishing and building go carts.

Ê He is survived by his father and stepmother Ron and Shirley of Central Lake; his mother Hannelore of Germany; son Tyler of Central Lake; brothers Mike (Vilma) of Marietta, Ga.; Edward (Annette) of Traverse City, Ron Jr. of Marietta, Ga. and Adrian (Brenda) of Traverse City, three nieces and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m. at the Grace Community Church in Central Lake.ÊVisitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28, at the Central Lake Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Friday.ÊPastor Jason DeVrou will officiate.ÊInterment, with military honors will take place in Southern Cemetery, Central Lake Twp.
