Obituaries PUBLISHED: Milt was a success in the work place and the home. He was President and Treasurer of DM Kitchen Building Company, which he founded with his late brother Donald in 1964. Of all his numerous accomplishments Milt was most proud of his family. He is survived by his wife Janet and five daughters; Susan Van Dyck (James), Karen Kitchen Chauncey (James), Susan Byrum (Lee), Kim Kitchen Pearcy (Rick) and Linda Thurber (Cleveland), 12 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Milt is also survived by his sister Lois Joyce. He is predeceased by his brothers Donald C. Kitchen and Maurice Kitchen. Milt graduated from Redford High School in 1949. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955. He was a Trustee at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church and a member of the Economic Club of Detroit. Milt was also a member of the Association of General Contractors of America and the Construction Association of Michigan. A memorial service was held Monday, August 27, 2007 at Kirk in the Hills, Bloomfield Hills, MI. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michigan Parkinson's Foundation, Kirk in the Hills or Angela Hospice. |
