Obituaries PUBLISHED: While in the Dowagiac area he was a timber man, using his horse drawn wagons to work the land. In 1979 Ed moved to Mancelona. It is there he called home; making numerous friendships that he cherished. Ed loved to have fun, a good laugh, a good prank and of course a good argument. He was always willing to help someone less fortunate regardless of the bind it would put on him. He will forever be known for his kindness. Ed loved his family; son, Norm (Kelly) of Fife Lake and grandchildren, Josh (Melanie) of Kingsley, Sara (Gary) McCoy and Kelsey McCoy both of Fife Lake and Jennifer Smith, formerly of Fife Lake and now Paw Paw. He was so proud of them and loved them very much. He will forever be in each of our hearts. Ed had formerly owned Club 131 and the Car Wash & LP gas business in Mancelona. He leaves behind, besides his son and family, sisters Margaret Owings and Muriel Keller both of Mancelona, and nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind two very best friends, Jerry Schram and Kim Peters. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Marilyn Relford. Any donations in Ed's name should be sent to Alba Sportsman's Club as he loved to hunt and fish with his son and grandson. A celebration of Ed's life will be held at a future date. An announcement will be in the paper. We will miss you papa and love you. Look down on us and smile. |
