Obituaries PUBLISHED: R.J. was born Dec. 2, 1921 in Maplevale, Ark., the son of Albert and Linde (Shellnut) Webb. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Philippines and New Guinea receiving a Bronze Star, and was a member of the Torch Post VFW #6985. He owned and operated the D and W Automotive Springs Company in Warren and retired in 1984. In Royal Oak, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge #464. He moved to Central Lake in 1987, and pursued his love of woodworking in his garage, gifting his many projects to family and friends. On Jan. 28, 1947 in Napoleon, Ohio he married Jane Churchill who survives. Also surviving are five children, Lucy Kapur of West Bloomfield, Richard (Dianna) Webb of Casper, Wyoming, Bert (Cheri) Webb of Mattawan, Dr. William (Jeanni) Webb of Mason, Larry (Vicky) Webb of Noblesville, Ind; two sisters, Annie (James) Stanley of Royal Oak, Johnnie Lunsford of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Wendee (Syd) Webb, Tracey (Michael) Belser, Richard III (Jana) Webb, Kerri (Jeremy) Lehman, Billy Webb, Neena (Casey) Crimmins, Art and Daniel Webb, Meghan, Melissa and Emily Webb; 11 great grandchildren, Kevin and Dakota Webb, Alex and Annika Belser, Payson and Gracen Webb, Maddilynn Lehman, Bella Webb, Brady, Riley and Dylan Crimmins and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Bazil and two sisters, Lexie Bratton and Melcena Putnam. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007 at the Central Lake Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Russell Tharp officiating. Interment followed at Dunsmore Cemetery, Echo Twp.
