Sandra was born on June 17, 1951 the daughter of Hallock and Mildred (Rumsey) Burden.

Sandra was a resident of Mancelona since 1989 where she moved from St. Clair Shores. She was a member of the Breath of Life Ministries, Pentecostal Church of God in Alba and enjoyed bingo, fishing, gardening and sewing.

On May 21, 1994 in Mancelona, she married Helmut W. Duve who survives. Also surviving are two children, Deanne Szlag and Michael (Nancy) Duve of Mancelona; two sisters, Debra Hillmann of Mt. Clemens, Patricia (Charlie) Fantozzi of Columbiaville; a grandson, Logan Duve, a granddaughter, Jessica Duve and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, Sept. 27 , 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral homes. Pastor Robert Gabbard will officiate. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mancelona. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 3 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home.
