Leona was born Jan. 13, 1934 in Brooklyn, Mich., the daughter of Dale and Ruth (Miller) Stump.

She was a graduate of Brooklyn High School and was employed at Ford Motor for several years. She moved to Alba in 1971 and eventually went to work as a cook for Alba Schools.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting and loved spending time with her family, friends and the school kids.

On Oct. 7, 1953 in Angola, Ind. she married Robert W. Marsh who survives. Also surviving are six children, Fred (Donna) Marsh of Brooklyn, Charles Marsh of Alba, Bob (Jeannie) Marsh of Alba, Teena (Donald) Blasko of Elmira; two sisters, Maxine Sparks of Clinton and Marie (Gordon) Foster of Clark Lake; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and a son, Robert E. Marsh.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Alba High School Gymnasium.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alba Public Schools. Arrangements were handled by the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
